Welcome to Whole Child!
Whole Child was created with the intention to be more than a place to receive therapeutic services. At Whole Child, we strive to offer a community rich with deep connection, genuine support and inspiration. At Whole Child, you aren’t just a number. You are a valued member of something much bigger.”
-Emily Niemeyer, MA, BCBA ; Founder & Behavior Therapist
Welcome
Whole Child Behavioral Support serves Minnesota and other states, offering behavior therapy and developmental support to children, teens and families. We lead with the assumption that each client we work with has inherent strengths and gifts that can be both emphasized and cultivated. We work with families, adults, and children with a primary goal: to help them experience meaningful relationships and fully participate in their families, schools, and communities.
Our founder and lead behavior therapist, Emily Niemeyer, MA, BCBA is a culturally sensitive and innovative behavioral health practitioner with demonstrated success working with children and teens with Selective Mutism, Anxiety Disorders, Autism Spectrum, and Depression. She has a recognized talent for taking a holistic approach to treatment, creatively utilizing a diversity of behavioral therapeutic approaches including exposure based interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and the principles of learning and behavior change. She uses art, play, and organic opportunities in the environment in both individual and small group settings to maximize treatment outcomes. She is a compassionate and empathetic listener who adeptly engages clients, their families, and broader treatment teams in the therapeutic process.
Emily received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Wheaton College, IL and her Master of Arts in Behavior Analysis Practice from the Graduate Department of Psychology at Florida Institute of Technology. She continues to collaborate with professionals around the globe.
Emily is a private pay provider who accepts HSA and FSA. She serves clients in Minnesota and other states offering office, in-home, community-based and telehealth visits with differing levels of intensity.
